The 10th annual Taste of Wrightsville Beach takes place 5-8 p.m. Nov. 4, taking over Bluewater Waterfront Grill's parking lot.

With more than 35 booths showcasing the area’s cuisine, the event takes place under a massive, heated tent at the restaurant, 4 Marina St. in Wrightsville Beach.

“We expect a sold-out event again this year as Taste of WB has become wildly popular,” event co-chair Lisa Weeks said. “Participants enjoy the diverse cuisine of our local restaurants and great breweries, wine and spirits, while supporting the Weekend Meals on Wheels organization, which feeds our senior shut-ins.”

The mission of the Weekend Meals on Wheels program is to “… ensure provision of nutritious meals and social contact to seniors on weekends and other days not covered by the weekday Home Delivered Meals program in New Hanover County.” Proceeds from Taste of Wrightsville Beach will benefit Weekend Meals on Wheels.

Attendees can enjoy live music between samples of local food and drinks. “Folks can relax in the MegaCorp lounge while listening to the Tideline String Band presented by Hagood Homes,” Weeks said.

Along with returning eateries, Kipos Hellenic Cuisine is joining the lineup this year with dishes that include short rib youvetsi, seared scallops, pork belly, catfish and tuna poke tacos. Other new additions are Jerry’s Food, Wine & Spirits and Drift Coffee & Kitchen.

The event culminates with judges determining Best in Show, Best Savory Dish and Best Sweet Dish while those in attendance select the People’s Choice, Best Beer and Best Wine winners.

Tickets are $100 per adult, which includes a tasting of each dish and samples of beer and wine. There is also an option for a food-only admission for $25 per person for those under 21 years of age. Children ages 5 and under get in free.
