Wilmington Health Insights

For more than 50 years, Wilmington Health has been proud to care for the people who call the Wilmington area and surrounding counties home.

What began as a commitment to compassionate, accessible care has grown into a trusted healthcare partner for generations of families, and that mission remains at the heart of everything we do today.

As our community continues to grow, Wilmington Health is growing alongside it. We are deeply grateful to our patients for placing their trust in us with their healthcare needs, from newborns to seniors and every stage in between. One of our most exciting areas of growth has been in Pediatrics, where our pediatricians are caring for more newborns and supporting more growing families than ever before. It is a privilege to be part of these early moments and to watch families thrive here in Wilmington.

Primary Care remains a cornerstone of our organization. To meet the increasing demand for quality and timely access to care, we have welcomed more than 20 new physicians across Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. Our locations at Midtown at The Pointe, Monkey Junction, and Porters Neck have experienced significant growth, reflecting the vibrant neighborhoods they serve. These areas continue to flourish, offering convenient access to healthcare alongside bustling retail, dining, and leisure destinations.

Beyond Wilmington, our reach is expanding as well. Our Leland, Jacksonville, and Carolina Beach locations are growing rapidly to serve these developing communities. We are also expanding into the north corridor near Hampstead, bringing additional primary care and acute care providers to improve access for patients closer to home.

In addition to physical growth, we are committed to meeting patients where they are through expanded digital access. Virtual visits can be easily scheduled by calling or texting (910) 772-6290, while self-scheduling is available through our website and Patient Portal. We’ve also introduced a Virtual Scheduling Assistant, a secure chat feature designed to help patients get the care they need, when they need it.

Whether caring for longtime residents, multigenerational families, or visitors enjoying our beautiful beaches and historic landmarks, Wilmington Health remains dedicated to providing care our community can trust—today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
